Becoming a Learning City - next step

The next part of our process for preparing Wyndham to become a Learning City was to consult with the wider community about the idea. We were able to do this by presenting the keynote at the annual Learning Community Forum on 25 May. As with the previous presentation to Council's Education Portfolio Committee, the benefits and approaches of being recognised as a community committed to using learning as a driver for change was enthusiastically endorsed by those attending the forum. Links to national and international partners already in place by partner organisations will provide the firm foundations identified as one of UNESCO's Key Features of Learning Cities.
